These days luxury brands pull out all the stops to create added value that will set them apart from the others and boost the customer’s brand experience. well, Gucci surely trumps all of this season’s initiatives. celebrating its 90th anniversary, the Gucci museo opened in the heart of Florence.

casely-hayford has presented the cawdor boot, the latest collab with john moore. this brogued and streamlined 8-hole stunner, featuring moore’s signature toe strap, is part of the label’s a/w 2011 collection and comes in black and brown. it’s based on an original from 1986 that fuses elements of punk / seditionaries, skinhead styling and traditional british work boots, and is produced by the same maker in northampton in england. the cawdor boot is exclusively available athostem and dover street market in london, but if you reside elsewhere, no worries. they can also be ordered online.

Robert Geller s/s 2012 collection

Robber Geller's s/s 2012 collection is an exploration of silhouettes, incorporating circles, squares and triangles, and adding either street or sartorial elements. the result is a range of contemporary styles we just love to wear, from the oversized jackets and flowy pants right down to the supersized dandy hats! the new collection includes the derby, a modern take on the classic brogue, and a collab with common projects.shown here are eight looks that we particularly like.

Designer yohji yamamoto injects a dose of brit style with an olympic edge in its s/s 2012 men’s collection. it offers diverse and playful takes on the check pattern and yet it’s balanced by utilitarian workwear pieces, and many were made from new innovative fabrics, like a lightweight, breathable ‘paper’ nylon and a bonded three-layer waterproof jersey. shown here are six looks that we particularly like.

prior to launching his cornelian taurus brand in 2007, Daisuke Iwanaga worked as a designer and buyer, but already created custom-made bags for clients as a side project. he eventually chose to make bags because he considers it more of a craft today than apparel making, and also because he is able to execute nearly all of the processes himself. with his cornelian taurus brand, daisuke aims to merge diversity and functionality with japanese heritage.
