SOPOPULAR 2012 Fall/Winter Lookbook

Designed by longtime friends Daniel Blechman and brothers James and David Ardinast, Berlin’s SOPOPULAR adds a fresh take on contemporary basics for men. Their latest lookbook for Fall/Winter 2012 finds black and white images of a solitary man dressed in a variety of cuts, pieces and textures. From vests to coats to sweaters, SOPOPULAR’s approach to menswear is never to reinvent the wheel – it’s merely to make that same wheel roll in a different way.

SERUM VERSUS

Serum Versus Venom 2012 Fall/Winter Collection Preview

From the founder of the creative collective, The KDU, David Gensler brings his Brooklyn-based designer label, Serum Versus Venom. Committed to producing luxury garments while not adhering to the typical seasonal calender of fashion releases, the nearly decade old brand looks to inject a new form of thinking in the institutionalized fashion industry by building a stronger relationship with its consumer. Inspired by ethnic ikat fabric and vintage military design, Serum Versus Venom’s latest collection presents an interesting blend of two distinct styles. Like the two themes suggest, the entire selection of threads are produced with comfort and durability in mind. The fine knits were exclusively developed in Canada by Roopa Knitting Mills, as well as all pieces are produced at SVSV’s in-house factory, Brooklyn Sewn. The 2012 Fall/Winter Collection can be purchased at the brands easy to navigate webstore accompanied by an exclusive collaboration of shear pendants with jewelry-maker Complete Technique.
