Balmain 2012 Spring/Summer Leather Biker Jacket

As we finally begin to see retailers stock their shelves with Balmain’s Spring/Summer Collection, excitement continues to build as we enter the era of newly appointed Creative Director Olivier Rousteing. The latest release from the French label is an all white leather biker jacket that could possibly be seen on an off-duty Stormtrooper. Complete with a traditional silhouette with a diagonal zip front and padded shoulders, this slim fitting leather will also house five front hidden zip pockets, including one at the wrist.

Beauty & Youth x Converse Jack Purcell

Converse in conjunction with Japanese retailer Beauty & Youth present two new iterations of the iconic Jack Purcell silhouette. The low top shoe features a herringbone-patterned textile upper in understated navy and olive colorways that are match against a clean white rubber outsole. In addition, the shoe welcomes a unique round string for the laces that throws in a new twist to the storied sneakers. Now available through ZOZOTOWN.

LACOSTE LAB 2012 Collection

Many fail to remember the early innovations of famed French apparel label Lacoste. Founded by star tennis player of the 20s and 30s, Jean René Lacoste, AKA “The Crocodile,” also created revolutionary tennis rackets, balls, golf clubs, golf bags and the first ever tennis-ball throwing machine, all to coincide with his famous L1212 polo shirt. Reviving its lost tradition of innovation, the famed label will team of with Parisian retailer colette to release a special collection of ‘dream products’ under the sub-brand-name LACOSTE LAB. Bringing the crocodile to playing fields it has yet to visit, this limited edition collection will offer, with the help of key experts in their field, a wide array of sporting goods. Including balls for soccer and rugby, a boomerang, men and women skis, a surfboard, a bike and motorcycle helmet, each technologically sound product will feature the brands iconic crocodile motif. LACOSTE LAB will be available in-store at colette and webstore starting January 9 through the end of the month.
